Joint Executive Committee

Shanta is very happy to serve the Konkani Community in a leadership role. She has been a member of the Konkani Association from the start. She has provided support over the years in the entertainment aspect of our organization. During the 2006 Konkani Sammelan, she played a major role as VP of Programs with her husband, Gurudutt.  She is a trained Kathak dancer and has performed with her Guru Rina Singha’s projects – including Yeshu Katha, Prithvi, Christmas Windows and Storytellers. She choreographs for Diwali and Yugadi events for OKA. 

Sameeta has been a part of the OKA family since 2006 and feels truly blessed to be part of such a warm and welcoming community. Over the years, she has cherished the friendships, shared experiences, and beautiful connections that have made OKA so special to her. She believes in the spirit of togetherness and giving back, and is excited about the opportunity to serve the community as part of the EC team in the coming year. She looks forward to creating more wonderful memories and strengthening the bonds that make this community feel like family!

Ravi and Shilpa are people who truly enjoy connecting with others and building meaningful friendships. If there’s delicious food or a community event happening, chances are you’ll find them there! They’re excited to be part of the Konkani committee and look forward to creating memorable moments with the everyone.

Ramya an HR professional who enjoys connecting with people, learning from different perspectives, and contributing to meaningful causes. Outside of work, she loves exploring new places with family and spending time with her cat, Noodles!

As siblings and longtime members of OKA, Rhea and Nikhil are excited to step up together as your joint Treasurers for the upcoming EC term. When they aren’t busy balancing the books, you’ll likely find Rhea trying out new baking recipes or planning her next trip, and Nikhil staying active with weightlifting or exploring new places. They are eager to combine forces, give back to the community that feels like family, and look forward to a wonderful year ahead!
